This fund provides financial assistance to alumni of NIT Rourkela and NITROAA members who are undergoing financial hardships by offering interest free loans. The loan recipient will repay the amount within two years of obtaining employment. Following alumni are eligible:
- Graduate students alumni, who are enrolled in the Universities in USA and Canada and are facing financial difficulties while pursuing their education due to unforeseeable circumstances to continue their studies.
- Non-student alumni in the US and Canada, who are facing temporary financial distress due to unprecedented events such as job loss, immigration issues, arriving in the country under adverse situations (evacuated from war torn countries, refugees etc.).
The NITROAA-EC will work with a committee to evaluate the genuineness of each case and recommend it to the NITROAA Board for approval.
